Kathy Nguyen, PA-C
Kathy is a National board certified Surgical Physician Assistant. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelors of Science in Physiological Sciences. She continued her graduate education at the University of Southern California obtaining a Masters of Physician Assistant Practice and received her clinical training at LAC-USC Medical Center. She received her NCCPA National Board Certification with honors in both general and surgical medicine.
She has been extensively trained in both General and Cosmetic Dermatology working closely with a prestigious Beverly Hills physician for three years prior to joining our practice. She also spent one year working in Plastic Surgery, involved in the patients – preoperative, operative, and postoperative care. Her clinical experiences have given her the expertise to fulfill the medical and cosmetic needs of our patients.
She continues to stay up to date with the latest evolutions in both general and cosmetic dermatology to better serve our patients. Kathy treats patients of all skin types and ages. Her areas of expertise in General Dermatology include but are not limited to skin cancers (basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma), pre-cancerous lesions called actinic keratosis, acne (including Accutane), rosacea, eczema, dermatitis, fungal infections, nail disorders, warts, and General Skin Care for all skin types. Her Cosmetic Dermatology experience includes Skin Rejuvenation, BOTOX® Cosmetic, Injectable Fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Cosmoderm / Cosmoplast, Zyderm / Zyplast), Titan® / Non-Surgical Facelift Procedures, Photodynamic Laser treatments for Acne and Actinic Keratosis/precancerous lesions, Laser Hair Removal, Laser Vein Treatments, IPL / Photofacials, Chemical Peels, and Sculptra.
In her free time Kathy maintains a very physical and active lifestyle. She spends her time doing Krav Maga, kickboxing, hiking, and sometimes you may catch her running or biking along the strand with her husband. She enjoys traveling, shopping, cooking, reading, and quality time with friends and family.
What Kathy enjoys most about her job is being able to share with the patients her expertise to not only help treat their concerns, but also educate them. Most importantly she enjoys being able to connect to the patients on a personal level and building a trusting relationship with them.
